We are slipping into Taurus season on April 19th. Taurus is the sign of ultimate abundance. Taurus & Libra are both ruled by Venus, the planet of love, beauty, abundance, and of course, pleasure. Venus is in its exaltation (aka its favorite place) right now in Pisces.
Let’s combine the themes of self-love and abundance, shall we? Let’s make the world a better place by being at peace with all we are, and loving us for it. Let’s shine, blossom, and create as much joy and pleasure as we can in our little orbit—sending resounding ripples of self love out to others and to the planet. Let’s spread self-love.
Love your body, love yourself. Have a love affair with you. Your relationship to self can become a joyous treasure, a little secret between you. Channel your sensuality into song, into art, into speaking, into nature’s beauty. Commune with nature, listen to earth, to waves, to wind. Take time to be outside. Go and sit with trees, spend time with flowers. When you meditate imagine roses, spring water, candle lit baths. Do things that you love and that excite you, that feel bright and expansive. Sing. Sing often. Sing like a babbling brook of healing sensual energy is pouring out of your soul. Reframe thoughts of scarcity and worry with love, by showing them the abundance, the overflow from your spring within. ∞

The Abundant Self-portrait
In this Intuitive Art Alchemy Ritual you will express what you love about yourself and make it bigger.
Take a moment to get really present with yourself, sending love and white light to any tension, and seeking a spot in your body that is holding pleasure in some form, be it love, excitement, joy…whatever pleasure feels like to you! Revel in the feeling.
Think of the things you love about yourself. Make a list. Think of new things to love, write them down. If you can’t think of anything now, that’s ok, instead you can ask, what am I ready to love about myself? and trust what comes through in the creative process.
Get out your favorite art materials, any kind will do.
Make art that is overflowing with all the bright juiciness that is you. Give all the parts of you that you love space in your creation. Represent them with color, shape, line, & image. Explore combining different materials, textures, movements. Check in with your body as you create locating the pockets of pleasure that arise as you express the parts of you that shine.
Step back and take in all that you are, all that you have created with love. Give yourself a hug, a song, some laughter. Answer the journal prompts: What am I celebrating about me? What emerged in this process that surprised me?
Display your abundant beauty in the form of art somewhere special. Meditate in front of it, light candles to it, offer it flowers, imagine yourself in all your splendor, imagine the parts about yourself that you love are overflowing, imagine your cup runneth way over. 🏆 💦
